Publishers and industry suppliers gathered at Kings Place in London on March 14 for the event, which celebrates excellence in production and environmental best practice among magazine publishing teams and suppliers.
Haymarket Media Group (pictured) won three awards on the night, including Production Team of the Year and Environmentally Sustainable Business of the Year. Gary Charlton also won Outstanding Achievement of the Year for co-ordinating Haymarket’s production of the official programmes and magazines for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
BMJ Group took home the Environmental Initiative of The Year award for its Client Printing and Distribution Programme, and Immediate Media Co’s Chris Softly was named Production Newcomer of the Year.
Polestar dominated the supplier categories, winning Magazine Printing Company of the Year; Environmentally Sustainable Business of the Year (Suppliers); and Print Production Initiative of the Year (Publishers and Suppliers) for the Amazing Spiderman issue of ShortList.
Gould Publication Papers UK was named Magazine Paper Supplier/Merchant of the Year and Rhapsody scooped the awards for Pre-Media Company of the Year and also Best Use of Technology to Enhance the Magazine Production Process (Publishers and Suppliers) for its Emagine production management system.
