The company reclaimed the title at the ceremony held at The Brewery, London on September 18, with Newsquest Specialist Media named Digital Publisher of the Year in the Business Media category.
Future won a further three awards on the night: Outstanding Global Achievement for TechRadar; Digital Marketing Team of the Year (Consumer); and Digital Product Editor Tom Dennis took home the Digital Native award in the consumer category.
Bauer Media and Dennis Publishing each scooped two awards, as did Reed Business Information and Euromonitor International.
A total of 23 awards were handed out by TV presenter and writer Rick Edwards at the annual PPA event, which celebrates the world-leading talent across data and digital channels within the UK’s consumer and business publishing brands.
The event also saw Outsell’s David Worlock presented with the 2013 George Henderson Award, an accolade that was established in 2008 by the Data Publishers Association (DPA) to commemorate outstanding contribution to the UK data and business publishing sector.
Barry McIlheney, CEO of the PPA, said: “These awards are a chance to bring attention to the incredible innovation UK publishers are demonstrating in data and digital, and the strength of talent among the winners and on the shortlist underlines the fact that the UK is a world-leader in this area.
“As we celebrate our centenary in 2013, it’s clear that the industry is carving out a very exciting future across various audience touchpoints, and digital innovation will play a huge part in our success.”
