Practical Caravan and Practical Motorhome to co-produce two TV series

Haymarket Consumer Media’s outdoor leisure titles Practical Caravan and Practical Motorhome have joined forces with Information TV to co-produce and revamp two TV series ‘The Caravan Channel’ and ‘Motorhome Channel’, which currently air on SKY 212/Freesat 401.

The new versions of the shows, which are set to hit the airwaves this September, will feature a new travel slot, with inspiring ideas for great caravan and motorhome holidays, a new section on tow car reviews, plus even more authoritative product reviews from the industry’s foremost experts, says Haymarket.

Both series are owned and produced by Information TV. The Caravan Channel has aired weekly on the Information TV channel (SKY 212/Freesat 401) since 2006. The Motorhome Channel successfully launched in 2012.

The series will benefit from the commercial and advertising sales experience of Haymarket, in addition to their extensive industry knowledge from publishing Practical Caravan and Practical Motorhome magazines, and their websites including Caravan Sitefinder.

Tim Bulley, Publishing Director at Haymarket Consumer Media said: “Our video content on both practicalcaravan.com and practicalmotorhome.com, and their YouTube channels has proved to be very popular with a large and diverse audience. The partnership with Information TV will enable us to further expand the volume and quality of our video content in order to reach consumers wherever and whenever they want, be that online, mobile or TV. We are looking forward to making entertaining television that helps our audience make informed decisions when they are buying caravans, motorhomes, cars, accessories or choosing where to go and where to stay on their next caravanning holiday.”

Antony Carbonari, Information TV Commercial Director said: “We are extremely excited to be working with Haymarket Media Group in the broadcast TV space. Haymarket have an outstanding reputation within the publishing industry for producing outstanding quality content across their many and varied range of brands. We look forward to working with them to develop, enhance and improve the Motorhome Channel and The Caravan Channel entities; and moving forward building a wider working relationship to help extend some of their other titles into broadcast television."
