Racing Post opens Beauty Salon in Liverpool!

Racing Post is helping Grand National-goers look even more glamorous than usual this year with the opening of its Best Turned Out beauty salon in Liverpool.

The city centre-located Beauty and Holistic Lounge has been given a makeover of its own, with Racing Post transforming it into Best Turned Out and offering a range of grooming treatments – and free tips to all bookings until the 2014 Grand National, at 4.15pm on Saturday.

The Grand National ensures it is set to be one of the busiest weeks of the year for the Fenwick Street salon, with ladies’ day on Friday the highlight for many of Best Turned Out’s clientele.

“We are always run off our feet getting the girls of Liverpool ready for Aintree and this year will be the first time I get dressed up myself for ladies’ day,” said Karen Graham, owner of Beauty and Holistic Lounge. “As a family run business it’s great to build on the excitement of the Grand National meeting and create a bit of a buzz around the town as well as be able to offer a few tips from the Racing Post experts.”

“Lots of customers come in on Friday morning and we give them a glass a wine to get them in the mood before they head off to the races. We’ve had this day planned since last year,” said Lisa Graham, part owner of Beauty and Holistic Lounge. “Ladies’ day is as much about the outfits, hair and make-up as the horses. I can’t wait to go this year and to be honest I am most excited about the fashion – the girls always looks so glamorous!”

“Visitors to the Grand National have a reputation for putting hours of effort into being well groomed. Now they can be just as impressive with their racing knowledge with Racing Post tipsters giving them the inside track,” said Harriet Collins, Racing Post head of PR. “Best Turned Out is set to be the ‘mane attraction’ in Liverpool this week.”
