Senior appointments at EMAP

EMAP, the B2B media company, owned by Top Right Group, has announced the appointment of two new members to the senior management team.

Robert Brighouse has been appointed interim Managing Director for the Architecture group, which incorporates Architects’ Journal and Architectural Review. Robert took up the role last month. In addition, Ben Greenish (pictured) joins EMAP as interim Managing Director of the Construction and Engineering portfolio, which includes Construction News, New Civil Engineer, Ground Engineering, Heating & Ventilation News and Refrigeration & Air Conditioning. Ben joins the business on 2nd January.

Robert Brighouse began his career in sales and has held senior roles at VNU and Dennis Publishing. Most recently he was a Board Director at RBI, where he was responsible for a broad portfolio of B2B Media as well as the sales operation. Robert currently consults for private and public media organisations. Robert will work with the Architecture portfolio teams to continue growing revenues across the events and marketing solutions and specifically to accelerate product and subscription strategies.

Ben was previously MD of the Construction group and left EMAP five years ago. In the intervening years Ben has been MD of Spectator Magazines. Ben’s brief at EMAP is to drive the growth of the Construction and Engineering brands across all revenue streams.

Robert Brighouse said: "I am delighted to be working at EMAP particularly on the Architecture portfolio where the opportunity for growth is exciting. I look forward to joining a passionate and talented team."

Ben Greenish said: "I am really excited about working with EMAP again as it is a very different business from the one I left nearly 5 years ago. I hope my time here can accelerate the very different and really strong position the division and brands are in now. I will be able to focus on the core objectives and help shape the team and business for the future"

Natasha Christie-Miller, Chief Executive, EMAP, said: “These appointments have been made to ensure that the EMAP brands receive the best support and focus to help them thrive and grow the EMAP business. I’m delighted to welcome them both – and in Ben’s case welcome him back - to the team. I believe they are the right people to help us deliver the best from our world-class brands, at a crucial time of transformation and growth for us, and I very much look forward to working with them both.”

EMAP has grown revenues by 4% so far this year, demonstrating the success of its transformation into a thriving multi-platform, customer focused business, says the company. Both Robert and Ben will report into Natasha Christie-Miller and join the EMAP Executive team.
