Specialist Media Conference moves to British Library

The Specialist Media Conference, the annual forum for niche consumer and b2b publishers, has moved to the British Library in London, and this year takes place on 24 April 2013.

This year’s theme is the New Specialist Publishing Model, and the programme is already full of entrepreneurial publishers ready to share how they are redefining and reinventing how they approach subscriptions, advertising, communities and events in the increasingly digital publishing world, says conference organiser Carolyn Morgan.

Speakers represent a range of specialist publishing markets, from established businesses like Dennis, Immediate Media, Incisive and IDG, to independents such as My Time Media, Total Telecom and Briefing Media.

The focus is very much on real-world, practical ideas that delegates can take away and put into practice in their own specialist media businesses.  There’s plenty of time allocated for panel Q&A, and speakers also chair small group round table discussions during the day.

The British Library has a purpose-built conference centre with state of the art theatre, flexible networking areas and airy seminar rooms. It is within walking distance of Kings Cross, St Pancras and Euston, so easily accessible for publishers from across the UK.

Online booking is open now, and delegates can save £100 with the early bird rate plus there are a limited number of complimentary VIP upgrades still available.
