Sunday Times’ Style magazine celebrates 10 years

The Sunday Times will be publishing the 10th anniversary edition of its inimitable Style magazine, the go-to guide for all things sartorial and ‘on-trend’, this weekend (23/09).

The anniversary edition of Style will provide a comprehensive look at developments in the industry over the past 10 years, detailing the trends and movements of the fashion world, and insights into where it is headed.

Readers will be able to collect 10 different iconic front covers featuring stunning shots of some of the most beautiful women in the world. The special edition will also profile the decade’s most important designers and photographers and will contain exclusive interviews with top models, including Eva Herzigová, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Lily Cole and Lara Stone.

The magazine became the first weekly fashion glossy in the UK when it launched on September 20 2002, say the publishers. Since then it has become a key publication in The Sunday Times’ canon of supplements and is a “must-read for fashion enthusiasts across the globe”.

Regular editorial features, such as Going Up / Going Down, The Hot List, Mrs Mills and A.A. Gill's Table Talk, are essential go-to points for the magazine’s legion of readers and provide a crucial barometer of what’s hot and what’s not for fashionistas.

Tiffanie Darke, editor of Style magazine, said: “As the first weekly fashion glossy magazine, Style has been the industry bible for the past decade. This fantastic bumper anniversary edition will provide a nostalgic look at how things have developed since we launched, unprecedented access to 10 of the world’s most beautiful women and expert predictions about where the fashion world is headed over the course of the next 10 years.”

The magazine’s anniversary is supported by a London-wide digital outdoor campaign plus a series of ‘Style Lectures’ starting with legendary couturier Valentino and Giancarlo Giametti, co-founder of Valentino Couture, in conversation with Style writer Colin McDowell. The event, which takes place at Somerset House, London on Friday, November 30, includes an exclusive private view of the new exhibition Valentino: Master of Couture. Tickets cost £40 and can be booked at somersethouse.org.uk/style
