The Times and The Sunday Times has announced that they will host the first ever Times Earth Business Summit On 20th October.
The publisher says that the Summit is aimed at a business leadership audience and will focus on the latest in investment, science, innovation, finance, legislation and politics to inform decisive action on climate and nature for clean and resilient growth. It will help businesses prepare for COP27 and beyond, accelerating action and leadership on climate and nature.
The summit will be divided into five critical areas, continued the publisher:
- Net zero and decarbonisation
- How to secure clean energy
- The purpose and practicalities of embedding nature goals
- Sustainable finance
- Fine tuning commitments and turning them to action.
The summit will also give companies and corporations the opportunity to check their sustainability strategies, benchmark against real world successes and understand the opportunities and drivers of science and technology.
The event will include speakers from The Times and The Sunday Times including Tom Whipple, science editor at The Times, Ben Spencer, science editor at The Sunday Times, Emily Gosden, energy editor at The Times and Lucy Siegle, environmental journalist & Times Earth correspondent.
