WoodWing strengthens its position in the Americas

WoodWing Software has merged its operations in North, Central and South America in a new entity: WoodWing The Americas.

As part of the process, WoodWing is expanding the team to strengthen local support for customers and partners throughout the entire region.

WoodWing has consolidated its offices in the Americas under the helm of Shawn Duffy (left) and hired Jackie Bedoya as a channel manager for Latin America (right).

Jackie Bedoya, a seasoned publishing expert, has joined the team as channel manager for Latin America. Bedoya comes from Aysling Digital Media Solutions, where she held the position of Chief Operating Officer for two years. Prior to this, Bedoya founded the Publishing Solutions Group Orlando, a consultancy firm supporting large book publishers such as Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, SM Ediciones, and others. Bedoya brings with her more than 20 years of publishing expertise and 10 years of software implementation experience.

Steve Schaffran, former General Manager of WoodWing Latin America, has taken on other responsibilities in the WoodWing ecosystem. As of Jan. 1, Schaffran’s new role is General Manager Education, to strengthen WoodWing’s global position in the sector of educational publishing.

“Our customers and partners in the Americas will benefit from the increased workforce we started implementing end of last year”, Duffy said. “In October, WoodWing hired two other seasoned publishing experts – Glen Graessley and Geoff Kehrer – as channel managers for North America.”

To ensure the best possible customer support, says the company, WoodWing will continue to develop its network of local solution partners. All WoodWing partners can analyze a customer’s situation and needs, offer advice and deliver and install WoodWing software, configured to integrate with existing solutions.

A complete list of partners is available at www.woodwing.com/integrators.

“We see continued strong growth in North, Central and South America,” said Hans Janssen, CEO of WoodWing Software. “As an example, the WoodWing community in Latin America has grown to 93 publishers in ten countries. With this integrated approach and the increased workforce, our team in the Americas is keeping pace with the market developments.”
