Christian Broughton

Christian is CEO of The Independent, and its former editor. In 2016, he led the editorial transformation of The Independent to become the first legacy news organisation to become a purely digital title. Prior to this, he held a number of editorial positions including digital editor, features editor, sports editor and assistant editor – not forgetting his start with the title, fetching coffee and opening mail.
