Processing, Permission and Personal Data - the 3Ps of GDPR that you must get right before May 2018

ON DEMAND: WATCH NOW

It is becoming ever more evident that the GDPR goes well beyond a tick box exercise. Publishers are finding themselves tied in knots as they attempt to unravel the complexities surrounding consent and permission based marketing.

Understanding new concepts such as Privacy by Design and Basis for Processing are absolutely key to navigating towards compliance with the Regulation.

For publishers with existing databases working out how to use them post-25th May 2018, this webinar will be looking specifically at the different ways to process and permission data to ensure robust subscription processes.

What can you expect to learn?

  • What is the ‘Legal Basis for Processing’ and how does this apply to existing data
  • Why understanding the different ways in which you use your data is of vital importance
  • When you need to re-permission and when you don’t
  • Why all data isn’t created equal and how to ensure that you don’t inadvertently get on the wrong side of the legislation
  • How to collect data in a compliant manner

Who should attend: Senior leaders in publishing, senior staff from Sales & Marketing, Circulation, Strategy and HR

This webinar was broadcast on 2.30-3pm (GMT), Wednesday 22 November 2017
