2013 Calendar to support The Printing Charity

The Printing Charity is to benefit from a 2013 calendar launched at an event attended by guests from the printing and publishing industries at RKB Gallery, London, in December.

The calendar is a collaborative effort led by Whitmar Publications and was designed by Real Ripple Media, using image backgrounds provided by Pic Free, photography by Sonia Boriczewski and costumes by HAODS. It was printed by Konica Minolta on paper supplied by Pro Design and Paper Co and bound by Renz.

In keeping with the calendar’s literary theme, people from the industry posed as characters from Dickens’s novels and Shakespeare’s plays to illustrate the months of the year. The calendar features Nick Hancock of Konica Minolta, Susan Wright of Whitmar Publications, Wayne Barlow and Mark Lawn of Canon, Marc Legge of Duplo, Vanessa Peel of TPG, Andrew Pearce of IPIA, Ian Sullivan of Concorcio, Tim Cox and Kelvin Bell of Vpress, Chas Moloney of Ricoh, Al Springett of the London College of Communication, Trevor Crawford and Mary Buck of Informa, Dale Wallis of BPIF, Darren Stevens of Pic Free, Iain Bullock of Renz, and David McGuiness of Kodak.

Stephen Gilbert, Chief Executive of The Printing Charity, said at the launch: “This is the third year the industry has collaborated with a calendar to support the charity. We’d like to thank all those who gave their time and services so generously this year to produce a fantastic calendar.”

The Printing Charity’s 2013 calendar is available for a suggested donation of £5.00 per calendar and can be ordered by contacting Alison Braganza at The Printing Charity on 01293 649 366 or emailing her at alison@theprintingcharity.org.uk
