NewstrAid says the news publisher’s contribution will directly support the charit’s vital welfare and wellbeing services, which provide assistance to current and former workers in the sale and distribution of print media across the UK.
Services include financial aid, emotional wellbeing support, debt advice, and practical guidance for those in need.
Neil Jagger, chief executive of NewstrAid, said: "We are hugely grateful to dmg media for this sponsorship. It will enable us to reach even more people from the newstrade community who are struggling with financial, health, or personal challenges. Having the backing of a leading international media company underlines the importance of our charity’s work and helps ensure that those who helped build the industry are not forgotten."
Shaun Jones, head of circulation at dmg media added: “dmg media is proud to support NewstrAid in their mission to provide care and assistance for people within the newstrade sector. We recognise the crucial role they play in safeguarding wellbeing across the industry and are pleased to contribute to their ongoing impact."
Founded in 1839, NewstrAid has a long history of providing practical, emotional, and financial support to those in need from the newspaper and magazine industry. With the help of partners like dmg media, the charity continues to deliver essential services and assistance to individuals and families nationwide.
