ALM invest in Quadrant’s single database

As the need for a joined up subscription strategy across print, digital and bundled packages grows even stronger, the American Lawyer Media publishing firm, ALM has begun utilising Quadrant Subscription Service’s global subscriptions management facilities.

Quadrant, the subscriptions management bureau, is part of the Air Business Group, a leading global distribution and fulfilment company. Quadrant has created a single, tailored, integrated database, for a mix of digital, print and online options, to deliver ALM’s magazines, newsletters and law journals to the US market.

This new partnership delivers a transition from four publishing clusters, on four separate systems, to an integrated portfolio on one platform, to support ALM’s future subscription sales and marketing needs, driving subscription growth across a single database.

Based in West Sussex, with a US customer service centre in Missouri and a New York office, Quadrant has launched phase one of a four phase 12-month implementation plan for ALM. The first cluster of ALM’s publications went live in July across Quadrant’s tailored subscription management platform. According to Quadrant, ALM’s move towards an integrated digital future follows major publishers’, such as The New York Times, recent repositioning of their business towards an era of online and mobile alternatives. The service has been made possible with Quadrant’s single platform subscription management and customer service solutions in Missouri.

Stuart Lacey, Managing Director, at Quadrant confirmed providing a unique offering of packaged subscriptions on one customised platform, along with a track record of looking after publishing companies with large and diverse circulation requirements such as The Economist and Reed Elsevier was, “What brought us to their attention”. He went on to say that, “We compliment ALM by bringing their varied portfolio together on a single database solution and providing local account and subscription management through our St Louis customer service centre”.

ALM’s subscribers now have access to print and digital content, daily newsletters and discounts to ALM publications and events through bundled digital memberships. Quadrant have made all of these features, plus more, available through a quick and easy sign-up and subscription management service.
