Condé Nast has announced the appointment of Elizabeth Herbst-Brady as its new chief revenue officer. The publisher says she will officially assume the role at the end of September.

Herbst-Brady has led revenue and advertising teams throughout her career at media and technology brands including Verizon, Snap, Viacom and most recently Yahoo! where she was chief revenue officer and general manager, Yahoo DSP, driving profitability and growth during her tenure.

As chief revenue officer of Condé Nast, the publisher says she will be responsible for the expansion and diversification of the company’s advertising and consumer revenue. The role will bring these teams together for the first time in the company’s global operating structure.

Throughout her career Herbst-Brady also held leadership positions at MAGNA Global, 20th Television, Starcom Worldwide, Universal Television and Fox.

“As someone who thrives in the rapidly evolving sectors of media and technology, Elizabeth is perfect for Condé Nast and the opportunities that stand before us,” said Condé Nast’s CEO Roger Lynch, to whom Herbst-Brady will report. “She has the foresight and fortitude to meet the moment, and will undoubtedly drive new revenue growth opportunities to support the expansion of our titles so that we can reach even larger audiences. We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Elizabeth to our team.”

Regarding her appointment, Herbst-Brady added: “I’m thrilled and honored to join this incredible team and to be part of Condé Nast’s exciting future. For decades, I’ve admired and have been an avid consumer of so many of the titles. Today, there’s nowhere else I’d rather be than at the epicenter of such iconic brands that continue to define our culture.”

Herbst-Brady holds a BA from Harvard University. She serves as a board member for the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, the Ad Council, the Female Quotient and IAB.
