SeenThis has announced it has hired Angel Wong as commercial director, where she is charged with running digital campaigns for clients based in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Hong Kong based Wong has commercial and sales experience with a number of global AdTech providers, including MOBKOI and PressLogic.
SeenThis APAC Vice-President Tom Jones-Barlow said that SeenThis now has APAC offices in Singapore, Sydney, Japan, and Hong Kong, and will add more roles before the end of the year. He added that Wong’s appointment in Hong Kong would open the door for brands seeking a technology offering that enables brands to get better value from their video advertising investments.
“Angel’s substantial experience in North Asia will propel the SeenThis footprint in the region, as brands and agencies increasingly realise that our instant video ad loading technology can deliver significant performance gains for marketers,” said Jones-Barlow. “We see a strong opportunity to create a leadership role in those markets as we are the only technology provider that can deliver ads via adaptive streaming on the open web.”
The company says its adaptive streaming technology removes many of the limitations set by legacy ad serving technologies, providing the best possible consumer experience with a minimum amount of data. Advertisers can distribute high-quality video creative in display ad environments with fastest load times, which leads to better performance, SeenThis continued.
“We have worked with all the holding group agencies in the region as well as many technology partners and publishers, but the biggest achievements are the results we've delivered for brands,” said Jones-Barlow. “SeenThis is uniquely positioned to help marketers in APAC, where budgets can be tight, creative globally mandated and connections sometimes poor, let alone the fact that APAC is particularly exposed to the impacts of global warming.”
He added: “We can make advertiser spend work harder, improve creative quality without increasing creative budgets, deliver ads instantly on any device or connection and reduce data use and CO2 while improving results. Next year we are eyeing further market expansion and we will continue to expand our relationships with local market agencies.”
The company says it now has eleven staff in the APAC region. The SeenThis Japan office was launched in September.
