Lewis Buttress: “I’m thrilled to have joined dmg media and to work alongside such an ambitious and talented team.”

dmg media says in this role, Buttress will lead the product team, overseeing the next generation of digital products to captivate new and existing audiences across all platforms.

He will deliver strategic advice to bolster the company’s growth plans, including driving Mail+ subscriptions, added the publisher.

Buttress joins from The Times and Sunday Times where he was director of product and technology for five years.

He started his new role in January and reports to dmg media CEO Danny Groom.

“Lewis is a smart and inspirational leader who brings first-class knowledge and a deep understanding to the role of digital transformation. He has a proven track record in the digital world having successfully created new growth initiatives and will be a phenomenal asset to our business,” said Groom.

Buttress said: “I’m thrilled to have joined dmg media and to work alongside such an ambitious and talented team. This is a hugely exciting time as we embark on the next phase of our global growth strategy, and I look forward to leading the future of products and building on the achievements of Mail+.”

Previously, Buttress worked at BBC News and NET-A-PORTER and has held head of product and technology roles at multiple early-stage startups.
