Duke of York will be guest of honour at The Printing Charity’s Annual Luncheon

The Printing Charity has announced that HRH The Duke of York, KG will be the guest of honour at the charity’s 186th Annual Luncheon on Thursday, 7 November 2013, at Stationers’ Hall, London. His Royal Highness has agreed to say a few words at the event.

The Duke of York served in the Royal Navy for 22 years, seeing active service in the Falklands and commanding HMS Cottesmore. His Royal Highness left the Navy in 2001 to become a full-time working member of the Royal Family, in support of Her Majesty The Queen.

The Duke of York’s focus is on assisting the economic success of, and the creation of skilled jobs in, the United Kingdom. He concentrates his efforts on three core areas where he believes he can have the greatest impact: Education and Skills, Science and Engineering, and SMEs and Entrepreneurship.

The Duke also supports many charitable and not-for-profit organisations and maintains close links with the Military.

Stephen Gilbert, Chief Executive of The Printing Charity, says: “We look forward to welcoming His Royal Highness as our guest of honour at our Annual Luncheon, which is one of the charity’s major events for the printing and publishing industries every year.”
