Gold Key Media, with support from parent company Frontline and shareholders Bauer Media, have joined forces with their distribution partners Trawoeger, Smiths News, Newsteam, Menzies Distribution and Letterbox to collect donations of essential items such as bedding, medical kits, toiletries etc, kindly donated by their hotel clients across the UK.
The items will then be transhipped directly to refugee centres across Poland and made available to displaced refugees escaping the war in Ukraine.
Chris Horn, managing director of Gold Key Media, said: “Given the enormous scale of the unfolding disaster and the desperate plight of the Ukrainian people, simply watching from the sidelines wasn’t an option. Now is the time to act and to help them. Our friends from the hotel and publishing industry are donating essential items which we’re collecting and consolidating and with the help of our partners within the supply chain, we will get these items to those that need it the most.”
Publisher clients are also donating items such as puzzles and small children’s toys and covermounts.
