i promotes impartial political coverage

The i newspaper this week launches an OOH campaign promoting its impartial editorial coverage in the run up to the general election on 4th July.

Roland Agambar: “We arm our audience with the facts and trust them to decide.”

The national outdoor advertising activity highlights i’s unique and unbiased content and aims to build brand awareness over the coming weeks, say the publishers.

Messaging includes ‘Impartial election news across the whole political spectrum’ and the question ‘Are you being informed or influenced?’.

Recently named National Newspaper of the Year at the Newspaper Awards 2024, the i newspaper claims to be the only national newspaper to have never supported a political party.

According to the publishers, readers expect and are consistently delivered politics and election news without spin and editorial coverage of all political parties – with a real diversity of opinion voices, alongside longform features with deep reported insight.

Roland Agambar, CEO – Harmsworth Media, said: “8million readers trust us to tell it straight. We have never supported a political party – and this election is no different. Our aim is to hold politicians to account, whatever colour their rosette. We arm our audience with the facts and trust them to decide – and we’re excited to be encouraging more people across the country to turn to the i newspaper this election.”

As the only national title to launch in the digital age, i’s instinctive and unbiased news, opinion pieces and product innovation are integral to its success and growing audience, say the publishers of the i newspaper.
