Jamie Jouning announced as Publishing Director of Glamour

Jamie Jouning will be the new Publishing Director of Glamour, it was announced yesterday by Nicholas Coleridge, President of Condé Nast International and Managing Director of Condé Nast Britain.

Jouning will take up his new role on the 1st April 2014, following the retirement of Simon Kippin at the end of March.

“Jamie’s track record and experience make him perfectly placed to take over as Publisher of this important, market leading title when Simon retires next spring. As Associate Publisher of GQ, launch Publisher of Wired and Director of Condé Nast Digital, Jamie has won the respect of clients and agencies alike. He is a Publisher and media man of the first rank. He will be taking over an exceptionally strong team, including Sallie Berkerey, Grace Wasyluk and Anna Dickinson,” commented Coleridge.

Jouning is currently Director of Condé Nast Digital, a division that has been setting the industry benchmark in digital development, says Condé Nast. Having been in this position since the end of 2009, Jouning has overseen strong traffic growth, up 492%, and digital revenue was up 44% by the end of 2012. Jouning was included in the top ten Sales Directors across all media industries compiled by Campaign in December 2012.

“I have enjoyed my 4 year stint with Condé Nast Digital enormously and have been extremely fortunate to have worked with an outstanding collection of talent across all disciplines including editorial, commercial and product development. I’ve learned a great deal and am looking forward to adding these news skills to those already acquired during my Publishing career, to help drive the Glamour brand forward in what is now a fully integrated publishing environment. Glamour is a true powerhouse of a brand with a brilliant editor and a fantastic commercial team with whom I’m very excited about working. It is an honour and a privilege to be filling the very large shoes vacated by the legendary Simon Kippin but it’s a challenge I’m delighted to accept,” added Jouning.

Previously, Jouning was launch Publisher of Wired, which was named Launch of the Year at the BSME Awards in 2009, and prior to that was Associate Publisher of GQ and GQ Style. He has also been Promotions Director of GQ and Sponsorship Manager at Sky TV.

An announcement regarding a subsequent appointment for Condé Nast Digital will be made in due course.
