The title focuses on the UK domestic tourism market and staycation opportunities available to its audience of group travel organisers.
The title has been published in lieu of Landor’s regular eight-times-a-year Group Travel Organiser magazine, which has been suspended since the lockdown, and the virtual absence of any travel and tourism activity.
GTO last year celebrated the 30th anniversary of its launch as the first dedicated group travel magazine in 1989.
During the lockdown, readers have been sent a fortnightly e-bulletin entitled Group Travel Grapevine, and additional digital content has been added to the Grouptravelorganiser.com website.
The Group Trips: Staying Local publication has also been posted as a digital read. It features a welcome message from the Chief Executive of VisitEngland/VisitBritain, and covers a range of destinations in the UK, including seaside resorts, heritage properties and gardens.
Landor Travel Publications is also doing its first pop up TV broadcast event on September 3rd under the brand Celebrate Group Travel Day. It will showcase group travel opportunities and ideas, and also feature the announcement of the 2020 Group Travel Award winners as a streamed YouTube TV studio broadcast, hosted by celebrity Patrick Kielty.
