MailOnline breaks record for daily unique visitors in UK

25 July: The MailOnline broke its record for average daily unique visitors in the UK, reaching a high of 3,642,330 last month, 1.6% higher than the previous month and a 42.2% increase on June 2012.

According to the Mail: This is the ninth successive month the MailOnline has achieved more than 3 million average daily unique visitors in the UK.

The MailOnline also broke a record for average daily unique visitors on its iPhone App. The iPhone App was accessed by 448,743 unique browsers every day in June 2013, 3% higher than the previous month and more than 87% year on year growth in the process. There were also 902,794 global monthly unique browsers to the app in the month, representing 64% growth against June 2012.

The MailOnline achieved 41,666,242 monthly unique browsers in the UK in June 2013, 25.9% higher than June 2012. That is 57% more visitors than its nearest rival, The Guardian which had 26,556,058 visitors, while The Telegraph was on 21,117,512.

According to figures released by ABC today, MailOnline recorded 120,829,031 global monthly unique browsers last month. This is an increase of 27,088,797 additional browsers from June 2012, which represents a growth of 28.9%.

This month’s ABC certificate for worldwide traffic also confirms that MailOnline achieved an average of 8,111,988 unique browsers every day, 37.9% higher than in June 2012. This is the second successive month that the MailOnline has achieved more than 8 million average daily unique visitors.

The MailOnline’s Android App had 602,397 global visitors in June, with an average of 229,444 visitors each day, which is year on year growth of 225.1%

Comscore, the leading global internet metrics company, said that in June 2013, MailOnline recorded an average of 5.999 million daily unique visitors against 5.125 million for the NYTimes.com, and 45.605 million monthly unique visitors against 41.234 million for the NYTimes.com.

MailOnline also received 30.4% more Monthly Unique Visitors and 29.3% more Average Daily Visitors than BBC News globally.
