The new role follows a period of growth, says Archant's London24, which now engages over one million 18 - 35 year olds in the capital city and has enjoyed commercial campaigns with brands such as Renault and Vodafone.
Ella, who joins from Caspian Media, brings strong business development and corporate experience to the role, having worked previously held positions at Above and Beyond Group and Freshly Made Content.
Craig Nayman, Chief Commercial Officer, said: "Ella is a key appointment for Archant and London24. In just three years, London24 has grown from a concept into one of the most popular news brands for Londoners. This is down to a clear plan that has been brilliantly executed by a dedicated team, working closely with the local newspaper news desks in line with our 'One Archant' strategy. It is exciting to be embarking on the next phase of the London24 journey, expanding the commercial reach of the brand to allow more advertisers to reach our high value London-centric audience at scale as we continue to inspire communities."
Ella said: "Archant has a long standing history of delivering high quality local news to the heart of communities. London24 perfectly embodies this as an innovative platform delivering local news in the digital age via online, email, social media and the London24 app. The team are very much on the pulse of modern communications and it is this marriage between credible trusted journalism and digital innovation that makes London24 a hugely exciting brand to work on."
Ella will report into Tony Little, Commercial Director of Archant's London, Kent, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire businesses and starts immediately.
