New editor-in-chief for Country Living UK

Hearst UK has announced Saska Graville as editor-in-chief of Country Living UK.

New editor-in-chief for Country Living UK
Saska Graville said: “Country Living is a truly iconic brand, and I am honoured to join at such an exciting time as it celebrates its 40th anniversary.”

Saska has worked as a writer and editor for over 20 years. Prior to joining Country Living, she was product director of Good Housekeeping UK where the publisher says she played an instrumental role in connecting the dots between editorial, tech and consumer experience. Saska has held a number of senior editorial positions including deputy editor of Red, editor-in-chief of House of Fraser, editor of John Lewis’s At Home magazine, and editor of New Woman Australia.

Hearst UK says Saska joins Country Living at a pivotal time as the brand celebrates its 40th anniversary. Country Living has a successful and award-winning licensing programme, partnering with retailers including DFS and Barefoot caravans. Its event, Good Housekeeping Live with Country Living Christmas Market is set to return to London’s Business Design Centre in November this year, and The Artisan Collective provides a successful membership proposition for its artisan and small business partners.

Saska Graville said: “Country Living is a truly iconic brand, and I am honoured to join at such an exciting time as it celebrates its 40th anniversary. I look forward to working with the talented team – and the readers, artisans and partners – to build on Country Living’s impressive legacy.”

Catriona Bolger, portfolio director – homes, Hearst UK, said: “Saska is an exceptional editor with a proven track record of delivering engaging editorial across multiple channels. She’s instinctively creative, commercially savvy, and the perfect person to lead the next phase of Country Living’s evolution.”

Former Country Living editor-in-chief, Louise Pearce, assumed the role of creative director for Hearst UK’s Licensing division earlier this month.

Saska begins as editor-in-chief on Wednesday 16 July.
