Jonathan Knight: “With the introduction of the Connections Archive, we are excited to deliver on one of the most requested features from our solvers, offering unmatched value to our growing community of subscribers.”

New York Times Games has introduced the official Connections Archive, an exciting new benefit exclusively for its Games and All Access subscribers. The publisher says the archive allows solvers to revisit and play over 450 original puzzles, resume unfinished games and track their play history for a comprehensive experience.

The Connections Archive has been rolled out on a variety of platforms, starting with mobile web and desktop. New York Times Games says the rollout will take place over the next couple of weeks, with the Connections Archive becoming available in the New York Times Games app on iOS & Android later this month.

The NYT says the Connections Archive enhances the puzzle-solving experience by providing the following key features for subscribers:

  • Access to all past puzzles: Play any Connections puzzle from the archive, since its launch on June 12, 2023.
  • Progress tracking: Pick up where you left off with any in-progress puzzles and track your gameplay in the archive.
  • Personal performance insights: Review your play history and analyze your stats for past puzzles.
  • Puzzle sharing and deeper insights: After solving an archive puzzle, subscribers can share their results.

Jonathan Knight, head of Games at The New York Times said: “Since we introduced Connections to our portfolio in June 2023, the puzzle continues to be one of our most popular games. With the introduction of the Connections Archive, we are excited to deliver on one of the most requested features from our solvers, offering unmatched value to our growing community of subscribers.”

After solving an archive puzzle, subscribers can also view their stats, share their results and dive deeper into the puzzle with Connections Bot, a daily, personalized analysis tool for Connections fans, added the publisher.

Along with the Connections Archive, solvers can unlock over 10,000 puzzles in our Wordle, Spelling Bee and crossword archives with a Games subscription.
