Readly launches Daily Mirror Retro series

Readly has announced the launch of a Daily Mirror Retro series with a D-Day anniversary issue.

Readly, a digital magazines and newspaper platform, has launched the Daily Mirror retro series with the 80th anniversary of D-Day as the first issue to appear in the series. Readly says The Daily Mirror retro series is its first retro series with a national newspaper and is part of Readly’s long term plan to deliver its subscribers with a breadth of quality content as part of the subscription.

The Daily Mirror retro series will involve a nostalgic issue being launched on the Readly platform every few weeks with the first five issues including:

  • D Day - 80 years - 7th June (1944)
  • Wessex Wedding - 25 years - 21st June (1999)
  • Michael Jackson Death - 15 years - 26th June (2009)
  • Marlon Brando Death - 20 years - 3rd July (2004)
  • Moon Landing Special - 19th July (2019) containing a free souvenir pullout to celebrate 50 years of the moon landing

Published by Reach plc, Readly says it has had the Daily Mirror on its app since 2020. The launch of the Daily Mirror retro series is the latest in a series of retro launches for Readly. Earlier this year, Readly says it launched the first issue of T3 on its platform and previously Motorsport retro series and BBC Music Magazine retros.

The Daily Mirror Retro with D- Day landing is available to Readly subscribers from the 7 th June alongside more than 7,700 titles as part of the all you can read digital magazine and newspaper subscription.
