The new e-commerce website, which has more than 20 million online images and is supported by more than 50 picture agencies worldwide, provides up-to-the minute content from the major stories and events around the world.
According to PA Images, the site includes the ability to search and purchase images without a login, increased search functionality, a new masonry view and a broad range of topical collections updated daily. The archive stretches back to the 19th century from pictures of Queen Victoria to Princess Charlotte and today is supported by PA’s award winning photographers
Andrew Dowsett, COO of PA Group said: “PA’s reputation and access has generated an unrivalled library of photos, including a vast collection of the Royal family, iconic sporting events, major news stories, entertainment and more.
“We are delighted to launch our new and improved website – a more dynamic and intuitive customer experience to ensure we give our customers exactly what they want. It is a first for PA Images to allow customers the option to browse and buy over the web without an account.”
Laura Diebelius, Digital Account Manager, Parliamentary Digital Service, said: “The new site is great, very intuitive and easy to navigate. I searched and located the images I wanted with ease. Images are displayed clearly and laid out effectively, with an option to change the view. I also set up a lightbox where I added and deleted images which was easy to do. The ‘latest headlines’ folder is very topical and keeps the site up-to-date and fresh – overall very impressed!”
PA Images also provide commission photography, production services, digital products and 360-photography. It is a valuable service for businesses, picture researchers, private collectors and individuals, says the company.
