Printing Charity makes an increased cold weather payment

The Printing Charity has made an increased, one-off, cold weather payment of £75 to the almost 300 people it helps annually with regular financial assistance.

In response to the Met Office’s warning of cold weather across England and Wales this week, the payment was authorised by trustees and dispatched under the charity’s emergency procedures.

Stephen Gilbert, The Printing Charity’s Chief Executive, says: “Keeping the heating on is a real cause for concern for the people on low incomes we help financially. To help with soaring energy bills, we have increased the one-off payment of £50 paid for the last three years to £75 this year. The money can be used to pay any bills, including food and heating.”

Whatever a person’s job is or was for three years in an organisation that produces a printed output – printing, publishing, operating presses, driving, advertising, graphic arts, photography, cleaning, through to making ink and recycling paper – The Printing Charity exists to help people of all ages, including dependent family members.
