The Telegraph says this new section makes it easier for subscribers to play more Telegraph games, including favourites such as Codewords, Sudoku, Plusword, Quick and Cryptic Crosswords.
Players will be able to build daily streaks and earning fun achievements, and the app also provides unlimited access to the Telegraph Puzzles archive, added the publisher.
The Telegraph says it has a long and celebrated history in puzzles and claims it was the UK’s first newspaper to publish a daily Cryptic Crossword in 1925. The Cryptic Crossword is now considered one of the most popular and well-known crosswords in the world.
Building on this success, The Telegraph says in 2022 it launched a puzzles website, and new games Plusword and Panagram were released in 2022 and 2023 respectively, both of which are now available to play in the Telegraph app.
Jo Coughlin, general manager - new products, said: “The Telegraph’s award-winning puzzles offering continues to go from strength to strength with the inclusion of puzzles in the Telegraph app. This investment enhances the experience for subscribers who can enjoy games such as Plusword and Panagram in an easily accessible format.”
To sign up to puzzles in the Telegraph app the publisher says it is offering twelve months access for just £1. Digital Plus, Puzzles, and Print Subscribers automatically have access to the puzzles section in the app.
