Telegraph appoints Jason Seiken as Chief Content Officer and Editor-in-Chief

Telegraph Media Group has appointed Jason Seiken, currently Senior Vice President and General Manager (Digital) of Public Broadcasting Service in the United States, as its new Chief Content Officer and Editor-in-Chief.

Jason Seiken has more than thirty years of experience in journalism, digital news and business transformation. For the past six years, he has been Senior Vice President at Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) in Washington DC, where he has been responsible for all digital content, products, and businesses.

Before that, he was Vice President at AOL Europe in London, and Editor-in-Chief of washingtonpost.com.

The new role of Chief Content Officer is a central part of the root and branch restructuring of TMG’s editorial operations to complete its transition to a fully integrated digital business. The Chief Content Officer will be responsible for all aspects of the editorial operation and for transforming the newsroom into a dynamic, entrepreneurial culture with digital products at its core. The editors of The Daily Telegraph and Sunday Telegraph will report directly into Mr Seiken as Editor-in-Chief.
