The Guardian has announced a range of appointments as it boosts its editorial coverage across all seven days of the week.
Geraldine McKelvie will join the Guardian in September as senior correspondent (weekend). Geraldine joins from Channel 4 Dispatches, where she is a senior journalist on the investigations unit. She is a former investigations editor at the Sunday Mirror.
The publisher has announced other internal appointments:
- Nimo Omer is appointed assistant international news editor
- Sammy Gecsoyler is appointed reporter
- Emily Mackay is appointed homepage editor
- Lucy Knight is appointed features writer
- Matthew Pearce is appointed news subeditor
- Smita Dey is appointed features subeditor
