The Publisher Newsletter Awards: winners announced
Esther Kezia Thorpe: “We’ve been overwhelmed by the quality and quantity of newsletters submitted by publishers this year.”

Media Voices last week announced the winners of 2025’s Publisher Newsletter Awards, following a ceremony which took place on Tuesday 10th June at Vauxhall Arches, London.

The organisers say the awards are a celebration of the newsletter success of publishers and media organisations, whether they’ve been in the space a while, or have just launched.

From almost 200 entries and a strong shortlist of 150+ newsletters, a team of judges marked the newsletters on a range of factors, including editorial quality, how well the newsletter reflected the publisher’s brand, and strategies to grow the audience, Media Voices continued.

“We’ve been overwhelmed by the quality and quantity of newsletters submitted by publishers this year,” said The Publisher Summits & Awards Director Esther Kezia Thorpe. “We knew publishers saw newsletters as an area for growth and investment, but it’s been heartening to see them bringing in newsletter experts, upskilling teams, and putting talented editors front-and-centre to create truly valuable products.”

From these 17 category winners, the Media Voices team say they read them all and chose an overall winning newsletter. So many of the newsletters had exceptional elements which made them deserving of the title. However, one newsletter really stood out, maintaining quality on a frequent publishing schedule, keeping a close eye on reader engagement, and achieving consistently high scores from the judges.

To finish, Media Voices announced a surprise new category. They say they saw some consistently excellent work coming across verticals from some publishers that they wanted to celebrate. This particular publisher had pretty much all their entries placed in the top 3 of each category they entered, a testament to the consistent high quality they maintain across their whole portfolio, added Media Voices.
