The new app replaces the two previous Telegraph apps and offers the best of its journalism in one interface, say the publishers.
Key highlights include a ‘latest’ features section which allows subscribers to stay on top of events throughout the day. Topics are curated to allow readers to navigate stories, features and subject areas.
All existing and new Telegraph subscribers have automatic access to the app, which is optimised for both mobile and tablet devices, as part of their subscription packages. The app can be downloaded via the relevant stores – iOS & Google Play.
The redesigned app is another milestone in Telegraph Media Group’s ongoing investment in its digital transformation. The Telegraph was the first national newspaper in Europe to launch a website in 1994. Following its relaunch in 2019, including its newly designed homepage, it was named News Website of the Year at the British Press Awards in 2020.
Mike Adamson, Head of Publishing and Deputy Editor, The Telegraph said: “The new app has been designed to ensure that our subscribers have the best possible experience of our journalism, from the day’s daily newspaper edition to the latest breaking news. This year, alongside the ongoing investment in our journalism, we are putting resources into ensuring that our publishing capabilities are of the very highest standard and central to this is the app integration.”
