Launched in the UK in 2018 by Dennis Publishing, The Week Junior’s Science+Nature is aimed at smart, curious 8–15 year-olds.
The monthly magazine is jam-packed, says Dennis, with wonder — each issue takes readers on a voyage of discovery, from the depths of the oceans to the outer reaches of the cosmos, and from the days of the dinosaurs to our high tech future. Every page is written and designed with a single purpose — to engage, entertain and make sense of the universe.
Since the UK went into lockdown in March 2020 the magazine has increased its subscriber base by 78%, taking its total to 21,700 a month, say the publishers.
Dogan Burda Dergi, already publisher of Popular Science, will strengthen its childrens magazines portfolio with The Week Junior Science+Nature in Turkey.
Carlotta Serantoni, Senior Group Licensing Manager for Dennis Publishing said: “It has been a great collaboration from the start and we are thrilled to be partnering with Gökhun and his team to bring The Week Junior’s Science+Nature to the children of Turkey. It is a bumper-sized serving of wonder and marvels – perfect for feeding curious minds, wherever in the world they are.”
Gökhun Sungurtekin, Publishing Director from Dogan Burda said: “We are very happy and excited to launch the award-winning Science+Nature in our market. It will help us to reach a younger audience in the science segment.”
The Week Junior Science+Nature Turkey, which will be published on a quarterly basis priced at 19.90 TL, launched on newsstands on the 6th October. The launch issue is 128 pages long and includes a poster to pull out and keep.
