The World of Interiors has announced the launch of a special collectible version of its December Issue — a limited-edition pocket-sized version, totally redesigned with exclusive additional content that compliments its full size companion.
To celebrate the title’s December issue, which brings together all things tiny but perfectly formed, The World of Interiors team says it has taken things one step further, creating the first miniature edition of the magazine, measuring less than a postcard at 134 x 104mm, and stretching across 336 pages.
This collectible uses additional paper stocks and features a gatefold illustration by Lukas Weidinger, added the publisher.
Virtually every story in the issue has been extended or re-imagined with additional images and details, the publisher continued. The exclusive mini-magazine content includes an essay from Robin Muir on how illustrator Charles Dana Gibson defined a fin-de-siècle feminine ideal with his drawing, how photographer Horst P. Horst went on to recreate this curious tableau for a 1948 issue of Vogue and a 20th anniversary celebration of Oregon-based animation studio Laika.
Speaking on the December issue, Editor of The World of Interiors, Emily Tobin, said: “The Miniature Edition of The World of Interiors is our most joyful experiment in print publishing yet. This tiny incarnation of the December issue is our love letter to the printed page, pulling together a compact celebration of design, detail and the enduring magic of magazines.”
The Miniature Edition of The World of Interiors retails at £14 and is available here, via JW Anderson stores and in selected shops while stocks last.
The December issue of The World of Interiors is available on newsstands and via digital download on Thursday 6th November.
