Trinity Mirror - Senior Management Appointments

Trinity Mirror has announced the appointment of Neil Jagger to the newly-created position of Group Newspaper Sales and Marketing Director.

Neil Jagger (pictured) joins Trinity Mirror from Associated Newspapers where he has been Circulation Director of the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday since 2000.

In his new role Neil will lead newspaper sales plus the consumer and retail marketing functions to ensure the full publishing potential across the business is realised.

Neil will also become a member of the recently-formed Publishing Operations Group – currently made up of senior executives from editorial, advertising and digital – which is responsible for driving the One Trinity Mirror publishing strategy.

In a further move Zoe Harris has been appointed to the new role of Group Marketing Director. Zoe, who is currently Strategy Director at WCRS, will report directly to Neil Jagger, who himself will report to Mark Hollinshead, Trinity Mirror’s Chief Operating Officer.   

Mark Hollinshead, said: “I’m delighted both Neil and Zoe are joining us in these newly-created roles at this hugely important and exciting time for the group.

“Unifying the sales and marketing functions under these senior positions is designed to deliver a One Trinity Mirror publishing model that will help us sell more newspapers.”

Both Neil and Zoe take up their roles in early 2013.

Neil Jagger held the position of Circulation Director of Associated Newpapers for 12 years, with responsibility for the retail marketing, wholesale and logistics functions of the Daily Mail, The Mail on Sunday and Northcliffe Newspapers (now Local World). Prior to this Neil was Circulation Director of the London Evening Standard after having worked previously in regional press in Birmingham, Coventry and Leeds.

Zoe Harris has held a number of senior marketing roles throughout her career including: Marketing Director at National magazines weekly division launching Real People magazine; Marketing Director MTV relaunching freeview channel TMF as VIVA; and, most recently Strategy Director at WCRS which is part of the Engine group.
