Trinity Mirror titles to report monthly ABC data

Trinity Mirror is moving all of its key regional news brands to monthly newspaper sales reporting from the May period onwards.

This is compared to the traditional six-monthly model that the regional press industry has followed for several decades.

The move will bring the regional titles in line with the group’s national titles’ reporting dates.

All of the group’s key regional news brands have launched new websites and mobile sites in recent months and new e-editions for tablet devices will be introduced throughout the summer – the Birmingham Mail e-edition launched two weeks ago.

Trinity Mirror recently reorganised its national sales team to form NASa (National Advertising Sales Agency) which is developing new print and online packages for advertisers from across the entire group portfolio.

Mark Hollinshead (pictured), Chief Operating Officer of Trinity Mirror, said: "In a multi-channel environment our clients require robust and transparent audience data on all of our news brands – in print, online, mobile and e-editions – delivered in a consistent format and on a far more regular basis.”

May’s ABC period will be published on 7 June 2013.
