Built into the existing whatcar.com website, New Car Buyer Marketplace looks to connect in-market new car buyers with local dealers, says Haymarket.
Editor Steve Huntingford says: "What Car? is all about offering advice and this feels like a natural next step. We are all about helping the customer. We’ve had target price for some time and that is applied here. It’s not about squeezing dealer margins, it’s about offering absolute transparency to the customer."
The trade press is starting to take notice, with articles in Motor Trade News and Automotive Management as well as a feature in the November issue of Car Dealer magazine.
Initial feedback from dealers has been very positive.
