Archant's Suffolk HQ is now situated in the newly-refurbished Portman House - which is located on the junction of Princes Street and Portman Road next door to Ipswich Town's football stadium, says the publisher.
This is the fifth time Archant's Suffolk business, whose publications include the East Anglian Daily Times and Ipswich Star, has moved to new premises in the town, since it was first published from Upper Brook Street in October 1874.
From 1887 the paper was located in Carr Street where it stayed for almost 80 years, before moving to the purpose-built Lower Brook Street premises in 1966.
Portman House was originally built in the 1920s as a bonded warehouse for Churchman's the cigar makers.
Jeff Henry, Archant chief executive , said: " The move from Lower Brook Street to our new offices in Princes Street is a major investment by Archant in its Suffolk business - and a significant milestone for us after 50 years at Lower Brook Street.
"It demonstrates our confidence in Ipswich, and in Suffolk - as well as in the future of our own business, and that of the whole industry. We will continue to improve the lives and businesses of the communities we serve."

Archant's Lower Brook Street Office officially closed to the public at 4pm on Friday, October 21 - before the doors opened on the new offices at 9am yesterday.
