CIG appoints new production lead and head of design

Communications International Group (CIG), a publisher in the pharmacy sector, has made its second new appointment of 2025 with the recruitment of James Rohan to be the company’s new studio head and creative lead.

James joins CIG with over 20 years of experience in digital, web, print, and placemaking design, bringing a fresh perspective and extensive expertise to the team, says the company. He most recently heading up the design team at specialist property development company Unica Capital.

James takes over from Pete Lawrence, who is making the move to semi-retirement after 18 years in the role. Pete will continue to work in a freelance capacity, aiming to ensure a smooth transition and ongoing collaboration.

Felim O’Brien, CEO of Communications International Group, said: “James’s creative vision and technical background make him an excellent addition to CIG as we continue to innovate and expand our publishing and training services. His extensive design experience and leadership skills will play a pivotal part in enhancing our design and production processes, building on the strong foundation that Pete has established.

Outside of work, says CIG, James is an enthusiastic artist, exhibiting across Sussex and Kent, and is also a keen sportsman. He is married with one son.
