Classic & Sports Car brings automotive history alive with new digital archive.

Classic & Sports Car launches digital archive
Daryl Rayner: “Classic & Sports Car’s archive is a fantastic treasure trove of classic car knowledge, passion, and expertise.”

The legacy of British classic car magazine, Classic & Sports Car, stretches back to 1982, and its full archive can now be accessed by readers through publishing services platform Exact Editions. Both individual and institutional subscribers can browse and search more than four decades of issues, including special collectors’ editions.

Exact Editions says Classic & Sports Car is essential reading for any motoring enthusiast who is looking to buy, maintain, or restore classic machinery. The magazine includes road tests, car purchasing advice and book reviews, as well as event and auction coverage.

Highlights in the magazine’s 43-year archive include a road test of the Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa (1982), a race between a Bugatti Type 51 and Stampe SV4C biplane (1984), driving the original Batmobile along the New Jersey Turnpike (1989), as well as coverage of the restoration of Rowan Atkinson’s McLaren F1 (2013).

Exact Editions says researchers and enthusiasts alike can seamlessly access past issues using its search function across web, iOS and Android platforms. Institutional subscriptions are also authenticated site-wide, with remote access options.

Marketing Director of Haymarket Media Group Darren Pitt commented: “We are thrilled to have the legacy of Classic & Sports Car brought alive through Exact Editions’ brilliant platform. The launch of the archive gives subscribers the chance to connect and celebrate classic motoring with like-minded enthusiasts worldwide.”

Managing Director of Exact Editions Daryl Rayner said: “Classic & Sports Car’s archive is a fantastic treasure trove of classic car knowledge, passion, and expertise. To be able to preserve this archive has been a privilege and one we hope subscribers will be just as excited about.”

Digital subscriptions for individuals are available in the Exact Edition shop here and subscriptions for institutions are available here.
