Conde Nast target Chinese visitors to France

Les Publications Condé Nast in France has launched Vogue Travel in France, an upscale lifestyle magazine entirely written in Mandarin and devoted exclusively to wealthy Chinese people visiting France for business, shopping or tourism.

France is among the favourite destinations for Chinese tourists. From 900,000 visitors in 2011, there are over 2 million expected in 2020 according to World Tourism Organization.

Vogue Travel in France offers a unique vision of the art of living à la Française. A truly upmarket magazine, it combines in-depth topics with shopping pages and recommended addresses to guide the Chinese clientele keen to experience luxury in France.

According to the publishers, Vogue Travel in France covers the latest trends and everything new in fashion, beauty, interior decoration, the culinary arts, gastronomy, design, art, exhibitions and travel, and features expertise, luxury arts and crafts in a lively, contemporary manner.

The magazine content is divided into three main parts: - TRENDS - ART OF LIVING - CULTURAL LIFE

Vogue Travel in France will have a free distribution with around 60,000 copies in carefully selected locations in those regions most visited by Chinese tourists (Paris, and the regions of Aquitaine, Côte d’Azur, Alsace, and Normandy) and will be in major international newsstands throughout France.

Marie Pointurier is the editor in chief of the magazine, which will be published twice a year for the two main Chinese holiday periods:

• An Autumn-Winter issue for the “Golden” week (published mid-August).

• A Spring-Summer issue for the Chinese New Year (published mid-January).
