Karen Blackett OBE, Chairwoman, MediaCom UK, Helen McRae, CEO UK & Chair Western Europe, Mindshare, and Sara Wolverson, Marketing Director Consumer Beauty UKI, Coty Inc., were all celebrated during an exclusive ceremony at The Orangery at Kensington Palace last night.
The three trailblazing women were selected, says Hearst, from both agencies and brands for embodying Cosmopolitan’s Sharper, Smarter, Bolder ethos. The criteria being Sharper for leadership skills, Smarter for women empowerment and Bolder for industry innovation.
In addition, two executives honoured by Hearst in 2016, Cecile Budge, Country General Manager, Shiseido Group UK & Ireland, and Philippa Brown, CEO, Omnicom Media Group, UK, selected two young women from within their respective organisations who they believe are shaping the future of advertising.
The rising stars honoured were Kate Langan, PR & Communications Director – UK & Ireland, NARS cosmetics, and Michaela Asenova, Senior VM and Store Design Manager, Bare Minerals and Buxom, Europe, from Shiseido Group. And Stacey Fanner, Client Experience Director, Hearts and Science, and Laura Garratt, Associate Investment Director, OMD UK, from Omnicom Media Group.
