Cycling Plus magazine unveils new look

Our Media’s road cycling monthly, Cycling Plus, last week revealed a new look across its print and digital platforms.

Cycling Plus magazine unveils new look
Matt Baird: “We’re not resting on our laurels and we’re continuing to evolve.”

The revamped design will work across its print and digital platforms and is the first major redesign since 2019. The new issue of Cycling Plus, went on sale from 14 April 2022 priced at £5.99 (issue 392, June 2022).

Highlights of the new edition include a completely new ‘The Hub’ upfront section with a broad mix of new expert columnists, bike tech pages, destination guides and more. Following that is a revamped version of Cycling Plus’s bike test, and also the new ‘Big Read’ slot that will focus on a key issue in the world of cycling each month (the June edition will look at bike shortages).

Editor Matt Baird adds, “Although our 2021 ABC figures have again shown that we’re the UK’s leading cycling title, we’re not resting on our laurels and we’re continuing to evolve by finessing the design and bringing in a wealth of new pages. The result is a cleaner and crisper magazine that manages to increase the number of products and personalities featured, as well as offering more riding and destination guides.”

According to the publishers, further highlights of the new magazine include:

  • More in-depth features and behind-the-scenes tech articles
  • More reviews, with a broader range of price points
  • More ‘how to’ guides and buying advice pages
  • More personality and fun, with the team regularly taking on epic (or silly!) challenges
  • More diversity in the contributors and women’s kit reviews
  • More of an international riding focus

The redesign is accompanied by a marketing campaign across print, social media and online, and supported by retail promotions, as well as being showcased at the Cycle Show in London from 22-24 April 2020, says Our Media.
