The 32 page magazine reflects the new-look Bob the Builder TV show which launches on Channel 5’s Milkshake slot in September.
Simon Price, Director of Licensing for Mattel said: “The new-look Bob is still the same Bob that audiences know and love. His dungarees might have been replaced with a hi-vis jacket but his chunky boots, yellow hard hat and checked shirt all remain, ensuring TV’s best-loved builder remains just as recognisable as ever. With his trusty tool belt now jam-packed with all manner of handy kit, Bob is ready to go… No project is too big, no problem too hard to solve!”
Building and construction are at the heart of the show – and this is central to the magazine and what sets it apart from other preschool titles in the market, says Egmont.
Every issue of Bob the Builder magazine comes with stickers and a play focused covermounted gift. The magazine is packed with creative and educational activities for preschoolers aged 3-5 including stories and puzzles plus exciting and engaging construction projects, say the publishers. The launch issue comes with a magic slate covermount.
Anna Reyburn, Publisher of the Mattel preschool magazine portfolio, said: “We are very excited to be publishing Bob the Builder magazine. The new TV show looks great and we are confident that this will create a whole new generation of Bob fans. The magazine has a real focus on achievable design and construction for pre-schoolers and will immerse these young fans of the TV series into Bob’s world and make them feel a real part of the team.”
The launch issue of new Bob the Builder magazine will be on sale nationally on Wednesday September 9th, priced £2.99.
