The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) last week launched Viewpoint AI search & summarisation, a generative AI tool to enable user queries in today’s geopolitical climate. The company says the launch marks the first fully-integrated, customer-facing, generative AI solution for the B2B arm of The Economist Group.

Viewpoint AI search & summarisation puts EIU's macrointelligence directly into the hands of users, enabling them to ask plain language questions and receive tailored analysis, added EIU. This new capability allows customers to interrogate the repository of EIU data, research and analytics, honing in on their specific circumstances. Whether preparing a stakeholder brief, comparing multiple markets mid-meeting, investigating emerging geopolitical signals, users can now interact with EIU's insights immediately and respond with confidence. All responses are fully sourced, allowing users to verify information and explore deeper context through linked EIU research reports, critical for moving quickly when the stakes are high, the company continued.
