First edition of the Vogue Fashion Festival

Xavier Romatet, President & CEO of Condé Nast, Delphine Royant, publisher of Vogue Paris, and Emmanuelle Alt, Chief Editor of Vogue Paris, have announced that the first edition of the Vogue Fashion Festival will be held in Paris on 4th and 5th November.

From the outset, says Condé Nast, when Vogue Paris was founded in 1920, the aim was to report the news on fashion and design by taking a bold stand in both artistic and journalistic terms. Today, the fashion world faces some extensive changes, which make it essential to ask the right questions and throw new light on the subject. It is for this reason that, in partnership with Swarovski, Vogue is bringing major players and opinion-leaders in the industry together for two days at the Hôtel Potocki to discuss the new economic, strategic and creative stakes that face the fashion world. Nadja Swarovski, who sits on Swarovski’s Executive Board, says: “We are very happy to be partnering with Condé Nast for the first edition of the Vogue Fashion Festival in Paris. We would like to see this festival, with its wide range of contributors, workshops and debates, become of the “must-attend” events for leaders in the sector.”

For the occasion, Vogue and Swarovski asked nine young designers to imagine and produce an exceptional work of art adorned with Swarovski crystal. The collection will be unveiled at the Vogue Fashion Festival, and then shown at the Palais Galliéra, the Paris fashion museum, through the Vogue Foundation. For Nadja Swarovski, “It is a pleasure to work with Vogue in this partnership to support young designers. These magnificent pieces, adorned with crystal, show all the creativeness, talent and diversity that can be found in this new generation of designers.”
