Group FMG launches video production arm

Multi-channel content and commerce solutions company Group FMG has announced the launch of Sneak as its specialist video arm.

Sneak will act as an independent production company specialising in branded video content, while also providing in-house video production skills for Group FMG.

Group FMG has already won a number of awards for its video production, and has produced projects for clients including Disney, Microsoft, Capcom, MEC and Staples, and the launch of Sneak will allow the company to hone its offering in this area and ultimately better service its clients, says the company.

Commenting on the launch, Rob Crombie, head of video at Sneak, said: “The unveiling of Sneak puts us in the unique position to be able to offer the nimble, tailored and attentive experience of working with a boutique video production company alongside the backing, resources and insight of a global agency. It enables us to provide clients with the very best of both worlds. Although existing Group FMG clients will be well aware of our capability in this area, having Sneak as a separate brand will allow us to develop new relationships with forward-thinking clients looking to share innovative brand-stories across multiple channels through engaging video content. Having our own identity within the Group, and our own platform to showcase the award-winning work we've already produced for great brands, is really exciting and a terrific way to start the New Year."

Group FMG chief executive Dilip Keshu, added: “I am very happy to announce the launch of Sneak, Group FMG's specialist video business. Some of our biggest successes with video have come from existing clients who have built deep-rooted relationships with us as a bespoke, specialist production company. Some clients come to Group FMG because they want integrated rich content – copy, audio, photo, video, motion graphics – and others because they want immersive and innovative video solutions. It is quite common for customers to search for ‘video experts’ or ‘custom video’ and a dedicated offering in this area will better serve our customers – and potential customers –than one that describes our video capabilities alongside several other competencies. The new website at www.sneakglobal.com is part of this approach.

“Our goal is to cut deep and wide when it comes to content solutions. We will go “wide” with the Group FMG name and “deep” with specialised brands within the group. To this end, we have decided to launch Sneak to allow us to sharpen our focus on video production. And we will continue to create more specialised brands as we evolve. This approach appears to be working well with our other brand, high-end ecommerce specialist Pod1.”
