Kennedy and Signature Publishing merge

Kennedy Publishing has announced the successful merger of Kennedy and Signature Publishing.

Kennedy and Signature Publishing merge
Dean Barber: “The merger provides an excellent opportunity for us to diversify and expand our already tremendously successful portfolio.”

Both Kennedy Publishing and Signature Publishing are wholly owned subsidiaries of Claverley Group Limited, who says it provides publishing, print and B2B marketing services to a growing customer base.

The company says Signature Publishing, which was acquired by the group in January 2023, will merge into Kennedy Publishing, with effect from 1 January 2024. The merger will see Kennedy’s portfolio of preschool, primary and pre-teen magazines grow to 63 titles across the UK and Ireland, as well as in global territories including Australia, Canada, Europe and the Middle East.

“The merger provides an excellent opportunity for us to diversify and expand our already tremendously successful portfolio,” said Dean Barber, managing director of Kennedy Publishing. “It enables us to continue delivering valuable learning opportunities to our young readers, cementing the company’s position as the second-largest children’s magazine publisher and building on a solid foundation to set us up for sustained growth for years to come.”

Established in 2005, Kennedy Publishing has seen success with its own-brand magazines, as well as licensed titles through partnerships with entertainment brands. The publisher says it has long been recognised for the outstanding quality of its products; printing magazines that provide both educational and entertainment benefits to over 17 million children each year.
